COLUMBIA, MO (April 8, 2011) -

The city of Columbia Public Works Department announces that beginning Monday, April 11, at 4:30 a.m. crews will work on the plaza parking garage located at Eighth and Walnut. Parking maintenance crews will scrub and wash the entire garage in preparation for resealing the garage this summer. This work will require that the entire garage be blocked off during this maintenance, and work is estimated to take approximately one week.

Individuals with parking permits for the Eighth and Walnut garage should park in the Fifth and Walnut garage permitted spaces during this maintenance work. Plaza permits will be honored in the covered permit area at the new garage as long as permit holders display their existing hang tag. Hourly spaces are available in the Fifth and Walnut garage for visitors.
