Columbia Parks and Recreation is planning two separate Easter egg hunts for kids.
The annual Easter EGGstravaganza, a free egg hunt at Douglass Park for kids 12 and under will be held from 12 to 1:15 p.m. on March 30. Two hunts divided by age will start at 12:45 p.m. Kids will also be able to enjoy activities such as face painting, coloring, pinning the eggs in the basket and more.
A Flashlight Easter Egg Hunt originally set for March 21, has been postponed until April 4 at Riechmann Pavilion in Stephens Lake Park. The Flashlight Hunt costs $7 per child with different times: ages 3-5 at 7:45 p.m.; ages 6-7 at 8 p.m.; and ages 8-10 at 8:15 p.m. Registration is required, spaces are limited.
The Flashlight Hunt is planned in collaboration with Mizzou's Parks, Recreation and Tourism students and is sponsored by Jo-Ann Fabrics. Funds from the event help pay for other family-oriented events throughout the year.
