Beginning Monday, April 22 at 8:00 am, the Columbia Terminal Railroad (COLT) will replace the railroad track that crosses Wilkes Boulevard between College Avenue and Hickory Street. This section of Wilkes Boulevard will be closed to through traffic. Motorists in this area will need to detour along Hickory Street and Court Street to access either College Avenue or Paris Road. The work is expected to be completed late Friday afternoon, weather permitting.
The COLT is a short line railroad owned by the City of Columbia and operated by Columbia Water & Light. It provides railroad freight service to Columbia and mid-Missouri.
