Animal Ice Rescue
COLUMBIA, MO (January 19, 2014) - Units from the Columbia Fire Department were dispatched to 2500 Chapel Hill Rd. Twin Lakes on January 19, 2014 at 6:01 P.M. to a reported animal rescue . Crews arrived to find two dogs had fallen thru the ice. Crews used a Mustang Ice Rescue Suit to rescue the two dogs within five minutes. There were no injuries on this incident.
The Columbia Fire Department wants to remind everyone that four inches of clear ice are needed before going onto the ice.
