Columbia Fire Department Responds to a House Fire at 5301 St. Charles Rd.
COLUMBIA, MO (May 22, 2014) -
At 3:19 a.m. Thursday, May 22, 2014 the Columbia Fire Department responded to a report of a residential structure fire in north-eastern Columbia. Boone County Fire and Columbia Fire crews arrived on the scene at approximately 8:25 a.m. to find the structure fully involved.
The fire was knocked down within ten minutes of units arrival on the scene.
There were approximately 9 occupants in the structure at the time of the fire. One infant was transported for smoke inhalation, one adult was transported for lacerations and a second adult was treated at the scene for lacerations but declined transportation to the hospital.
It is unknown if smoke detectors were present, and what woke the occupants. The fire damage estimate is not available at this time.
