The City of Columbia's C.A.R.E. Gallery invites young artists to work with a visiting artist from Ireland through the True/False Film Festival. Caoimhghin O'Fraithile is preparing pieces for the festival, which will be displayed in the University of Missouri's Museum of Art and Archaeology as well as the Ragtag Theater. An opening reception will be held at 5:30 p.m. on February 29 at the Museum of Art and Archaeology.
The young C.A.R.E. artists have been assisting O'Fraithile after school during the week. More workdays are planned next week, as well as a work day on Saturday, Feb. 18. This work day will be from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the University's Bingham Hall Commons. It is open to the public.
Youth between the ages of 14 and 18 who are interested in participating should email Lindsay at firstname.lastname@example.org or call the C.A.R.E. office at 874-6300.
The C.A.R.E. Gallery is a program of the City of Columbia Parks and Recreation Department with financial assistance from the City's Office of Cultural Affairs and the Missouri Arts Council.
