Broadcast on Mediacom 80, Charter Communications 992, and CenturyLink 96, The City Channel is the government access station for Columbia, Missouri. It provides citizens information about government activities and services.
Programming for the City Channel covers local, state and federal government activities. The City Channel produces approximately 30 hours of original programming each month, including serial productions, informational news items, live meetings and special events.
City meetings broadcast on the City Channel include a pre-City Council press conference and City Council, Planning and Zoning, and Board of Adjustment meetings. These meetings run live and are re-broadcast. Other meetings are broadcast as requested.
The City Channel is part of the City's Public Communications Department. All capital expenditures for the City Channel are funded through the Public Communications Department.
