Hershey's Track & Field on Saturday, May 10 could use your help: This is a great way to make a difference to a young person in just a few hours.
Summer Youth Volunteering Opportunities: Youth In Action is a program for young people 12-15 years of age. The Summer Youth Volunteering Directory is a great resource, too!

We are located at 1 S. 7th Street in the Gentry Building. Our office hours are 8:00 a.m. to noon and 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. We look forward to your visit!

What is Volunteer Columbia?

Volunteer Columbia is the City's volunteer program. It involves citizens in the activities of City government -- ultimately helping Columbia grow strong into the 21st Century.

Who Volunteers?

Groups, faith organizations, businesses, schools, families, students and seniors all donate their talents, skills, dedication and interests to help the City enhance its delivery of services.

Why Volunteer?

As a volunteer, you become a partner with Volunteer Columbia to implement programs that benefit you, your neighbor and the community as a whole! At the same time you can meet new people, explore new careers, stay active after retirement, or spend quality time with your family. Best yet -- you're helping others and making a difference in your community.

The City offers innovative volunteer opportunities that foster personal growth, development and satisfaction. The City will work to find a volunteer assignment that will fit both the talents and the time you want to share.
