- There are so many volunteers to thank this month, which is a wonderful reflection about the giving nature of our Columbia community. Hundreds of volunteers took part in the Hinkson Clean Sweep, Columbia Festival of the Arts, Heritage Festival, Graffiti Removal Project, TreeKeepers projects and Health Department child care programs. Our gratitude to each of these volunteers for helping us to keep Columbia vibrant, exciting and progressive.

- Special thanks to the M.U. Freshmen who volunteered for three projects during the August 23 Step Forward Day. They helped paint signs for the Columbia Festival of the Arts, removed downtown grafitti and planted and mulched an Adopt A Spot beautification bed.
