The results are in! Columbia received a four bloom rating (out of five) at the America In Bloom Symposium in Columbus, Ohio, Oct. 2-4. Columbia received special recognition in the Community Involvement area. Read the score sheet for our size category and the judges' full report.

This year Columbia participated in America In Bloom, a national program created in 2001 to promote community beautification, cleanliness and environmental efforts. More than 150 communities have participated in the program, which evaluates how municipal, commercial and residential factors contribute to overall community appearance.
Two America in Bloom judges visited Columbia on June 23 and 24. You can read their tour schedule. They evaluated eight areas of Columbia:
Columbia submitted a municipal information form earlier this year to tell the judges about our activities related to these eight areas. A "show book" with information from our form highlighted with photos and graphics is also available for you to download.
