links citizens with opportunities to share their time with city government. The office recruits, places, tracks and recognizes volunteers for their efforts.

Park Patrol Events

Special events are an opportunity for Park Patrollers to volunteer outside of their self-scheduled patrols. These events allow volunteers to help in important and unique ways. Each Park Patrol volunteer is encourage to help with at least one of these "special assignments" during a calendar year. It is important that Park Patrollers are identified with their t-shirt or vest when helping at these activities.

Soccer Tournament -- Cosmo Park, Saturdays through May 14 - 15

Park Patrol volunteers needed to assist Park Ranger Arens with soccer traffic and help park users during the 2011 Spring Soccer season. The season starts this Saturday morning, April 9th, and continues every Saturday until the tournament on May 14 and 15.

The times needed are:

8-11am, 8:30-11:30am or 9-12pm. Most of the time volunteers may walk, jog or ride a bike in the park. If you can not be there for three hours, any time would be appreciated. Volunteers do not have to commit to every Saturday. Last scheduled game is May 7th and tournament May 14 & 15th. Ranger Arens can be contacted at 999-4583 or 874-7717.
