Starting June 18-September 10-Special Olympics Golf-volunteers are needed to assist with golf. A commitment to the sports season is required. Thursdays at L.A. Nickell Golf Course. Individual Skills: 6-7 p.m.- helping athletes refine putting, chipping, and driving skills. Unifited Partner: 6-8 p.m.-play 9 hole, alternate shot with a Special Olympic Athlete. Unified Partners must have good skills and firm understanding of rules. A Class A Volunteer Form on file is required for all volunteers. Teen Lock Ins-Girl's Lock In-volunteers are needed to assist with games, group challenges, sports, etc. The Girl's Lock-In will be held on Friday, July 24th (9:00 p.m.)-Saturday, July 25th (7:00 a.m.) at the Armory Sports Center, 701 East Ash Street. Shifts are available from 9 p.m.-2 a.m. and 2 a.m.-7 a.m.

Wednesdays August 19, and September 16-Family Fun Fest-we are looking for volunteers to assist with parking and the children's activity area from 5:45 -8:15 p.m. at Cosmo Park, Burford Shelter.
August 22-Kaleidospoke-Volunteers are needed for support as we light up the MKT Trail for Kaleidospoke on August 22. Kaleidospoke Volunteers will help with direction and safety along the MKT Trail between Flat Branch Park and Twin Lakes from 6:30pm-10:00pm for this family friendly GLOW bike ride. The bridges, tunnels and portions of the trail will be illuminated for the evening. Volunteers and participants are encouraged to have fun with this and decorate themselves and their bikes with GLOW (bikes not required for volunteers, but encouraged for those who have them).
August 27, 28 & 29 Downtown Parking Audit Project
Starting September 1st-Blue Thunder Track Club-we are looking for volunteer assistant coaches to assist with cross country. Coaches will guide and instruct young men and women in their pursuit of mastering their craft. Normal practices are Tues, Thurs (6-7:30 p.m.) & Saturdays (10-11 a.m)-approximately 4 to 5 hours a week. Cross Country Meets are held on Saturdays and Sundays. Starting September 12-Special Olympics Bowling-volunteers are needed to assist with bowling. A commitment to a sports season is NOT required. Bowling will be on Saturday's from 12 p.m.-1:30 p.m. OR 2 p.m.-3:30 p.m at AMF Town & Country Lanes, 1508 North Providence. Volunteers can choose which shift they would like to work. Volunteers are assigned to a lane to keep bowlers on task. A Class A Volunteer Form on file is required for all volunteers. Volunteer must contact Jody Cook at firstname.lastname@example.org.
