Reports for Building Construction and Erosion Control

Previously the City has posted summary data based on when the permit application was filed with the City.  These reports were computer generated and then manually entered into the spreadsheet that was posted online.  In reviewing these reports, some of the information was erroneous, most likely due to human error.  In an effort to provide reliable numbers, the reports will be automatically generated by the City's building permit system and posted online.  The Federal Census Bureau requires information based on when the permit was issued.   Therefore the new reports are based on the date the permit was issued, which in the case of commercial projects, can be months after the application date.  We have included calendar year to date numbers for 2006 thru 2012 based on the new reporting method.  Please note that on occasion the valuation of a permit will change.  When new reports are run these changes will be reflected.
