The City of Columbia Public Works department has scheduled an informal open house meeting concerning the development of a Municipal Services Center, planned to be located on Sinclair Street, just south of Mill Creek Elementary School. The purpose of developing the property will be to enhance services provided by Public Works, enabling the department to operate in a closer proximity to a significant portion of the City’s residents. The design concept includes an emphasis on increasing renewable energy installations and our commitment to reducing energy usage across City buildings.

The City of Columbia Public Works department has scheduled an informal open house meeting concerning the development of a fire station at the intersection of East Broadway and El Chaparral Avenue South. The meeting will be held Wednesday, March 27, from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. in the lower level of the church building located at 1020 El Chaparral Ave. S.

This 4.64 acre property will also be utilized as offices for CFD’s fire marshal's division and for living space for Columbia firefighters. The upcoming meeting will provide local residents and other stakeholders with an opportunity to share concerns, ask questions and provide feedback about this proposed development project.
Information and diagrams showing the design concepts will be available for public review at the open house. City staff will also be present to answer questions and a public comment form will be available if you have any comments for the City to consider.
