Public Health and Human Services Closed Tomorrow
COLUMBIA, MO - Due to the continued snow conditions and the prediction for through the early morning tomorrow, City of Columbia offices will be closed on Wednesday, February 5th. This includes the Department of Public Health and Human Services at 1005 West Worley. WIC appointments are canceled and can be rescheduled by calling 573-874-7384 when the department reopens Thursday, February 6th.
As the temperatures begin to drop and the snow accumulates, the need for shelter from the elements may increase. Due to the ever changing nature of winter storm systems, citizens are advised to contact warming centers and official shelters in advance to ensure that facilities are open and operational. The full list of warming centers and official shelters can be found at www.GoColumbiaMO.com/Health by searching for "warming centers."
Please continue to check the department's Facebook page at www.facebook.com/CoMoHealthDept or Twitter page at www.twitter.com/CoMo_HealthDept for up-to-date information. You do not need an account to see the updates.
